Early Life, Experiences and Education
During early life of Dato’ Sri Chew is a born in Kampong Sanglang, Jerlun, native of Kedah in 1980 and he is the second born child among his eight siblings. Dato’ Sri Chew had completed his early education at SRJK( C ) Lam Min, Kerpan, Jerlun, Kedah and he continued his high scholl in SMJK Chung Ling, Penang Malaysia – 2020 to complete his education, he graduated with a Diploma in College Tunku Abdul Rahman.
Career:
Dato’ Sri Chew is the founder and CEO of the Inter Great Group of Companies (IGGC). He is an active member of the Penang community and is a key person of the Inter Great Group of Companies. The Company has operated since year 2006 located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. IGGC is one of the largest agencies in Malaysia that supply and management of foreign and local workers.
IGGC had successfully rebranded and employed more than 100,000 foreign workers throughout Malaysia. The foreign worker placement that we provide are from countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, India, Thailand and also Philippines. Meanwhile, we recruit local worker placement from Kedah, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak. IGCC is a very professional in providing recruitment consultancy services, cleaning services, hostel management, transportation services, as well as construction projects and development.
Sports and Associations:
Dato’ Sri Chew is active in football in the state of Penang. He became a manager and sponsor of Penang Chinese Football Association State Team for 3 years. He wishes to help and bring the Penang Chinese Football Association to have higher achievement. Dato’ Sri Chew is also the Deputy President of the Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Agensi Perkhidmatan Sasta Malaysia (PAPSMA).
Honorary Awards:
Dato’ Sri Chew received the Pingat Jasa Malaysia (PJM) in year 2016 and awarded first place of Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSA) in year 2017.
Dato’ Sri Chew Suen Wei
Early Life, Experiences and Education
He was born in Klang, Selangor in year 1976 and he is the eldest child among five siblings. Although he was born in Klang, he continued to live in Teluk Intan, Perak after his birth until age of 18 years old. Dato’ Lau completed his early education in St. Anthony and 2 years at APIIT (Asia Pasific Information and Technology) in Kuala Lumpur. After that, he continued his study in Melbourne, Australia and hold a Degree at Monash University.
Dato’ Lau started to work since year 2002. There are 5 business sector that Dato’ Lau involved, which are mining, construction, security service and sale of firearms, recruitment service and manpower supply, domestic helper supply. His domestic helper supply business is not limited to Malaysia, his business also across other countries as well. He is very focus in labour supply business, especially domestic helper supply. Dato’ Lau’s 20 years of hard work and focus in his career, the group of companies had expanded up to 5 branches and mainly lead by one of his successful company named Agensi Pekerjaan Sands Sdn Bhd and had become one of the largest domestic helper supply company in Malaysia. The group of companies not allow provide domestic helper in Malaysia, it also supply to various countries such as Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Brunei. The group of companies mainly recruit domestic helper from various of countries such as Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Cambodia. During this 20 years, Dato’ Lau successfully channelled the domestic helpers to 30,000 Malaysian families.
Besides that, Dato’ Lau is also active in his security service business. This business involves placement of security guard and sale of firearms. He works together with the former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Bakri Zinin and formed a security service company name Black Hummer Security Sdn Bhd (BHS) in year 2016.
BHS has more than 600 members in the company. The nature of business of this BHS is to provide security officer, body guard with armed or unarmed and security guard to the banks, bank for cash transit, commercial property, industrial property and residential property. Well-known company in Malaysia such as CIMB, Sunway Group, Top Glove, Mah Sing Group are among several clients of BHS.
Dato’ Lau Kiam Chiew
Dato’ Lau is a very ambitious person. He had expanded his business in Indonesia and Philippines. For the past 15 years, Dato’ Lau had built a strong fundamental in labour business in Indonesia. There are total 17 branches in Indonesia located at Bekasi, Indramayu, Brebes, Cirebon, Cilacap, Purwokerto, Wonosobo, Lampung, Palembang, Medan, Pontianak (Kalimantan) Kupang, Flores, Palu, Ambon,
Lombok and Ponorogo. The labour recruitment agency covers the sector such as construction, plantation, agriculture, livestock, manufacturing and domestic helper.
Apart from Indonesia, Dato’ Lau also had expanded his labour business in Philippines. There are over 6 branches throughout the country. The companies in Philippines are mainly recruit and placing domestic helper to other countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
Business Partner
Along with Dato’ Sri Chew, Dato’ Lau is also a partner business in Motion Pro Engineering Sdn Bhd (MPE). He is a director and also a shareholder in MPE. MPE is a contractor as well as Ship to Ship (STS) holders in sand mining at Kuala and Besut, Terengganu.
Sports and Associations:
Dato’ Lau love to play sports and especially badminton. When during his education, he used to represent his school at MSSPK under the age of 18. Dato’ Lau currently still plays badminton, golf and horse riding in order to make sure healthy body and mind. He held a position of Director of Government Affairs for Pertubuan Kebangsaan Agensi Pekerjaan Swasta (PIKAP).
Honorary Awards:
Dato’ Lau proudly awarded the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (D.I.M.P) medal in year 2013.
Active Businesses:
SMSB is currently collaborating with WellSpring Mining Sdn Bhd to excavate 200 hectares of mineral mining land project such as gold and manganese at Gua Musang, Kelantan and Silica sand at Terengganu. Meanwhile, SMSB has invested a large of money to purchase machines and related machinery in order to take initiative to explore and expand more projects in to this mining sectors.
